The Agricultural Museum of the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan Republic acts in the 5th floor of the building of “Veterinary Campus”. The museum was established in 1924. Over 15 thousand interesting exhibits reflecting the working and household conditions of agriculture and peasants of Azerbaijan were placed in the museum. The model of the Gobustan reserve, the map of the silk way, agricultural tools used in separate regions of Azerbaijan in various periods, the exhibits reflecting the welfare and household tools of the people belonging to the XVIII - XIX century are demonstrated here. There are various sections in the museum. These sections point to rich history of various fields of agriculture in our country, their development phase along with being rich with exhibits and demonstrate that our people has rich traditions in this field.
The exposition and foundation of the museum is updated from the date when it was established and is enriched with new materials, exhibits reflecting the modern condition and historic development of the agriculture of the Republic. All fields of the agriculture of Azerbaijan were almost reflected in the museum.
At present, the exposition covers the area of 500 m2. The museum has a rich foundation and a beautiful exposition compiled in accordance with modern standards. The building where the museum is situated was repaired and the exposition halls were compiled in most modern modeled form in the level according to the world standards. The administrative and work rooms of 200 m2 were repaired in whole.
There are 5640 photo negatives, 260 households and ethnography, 37 drawings, 35 applied art samples and etc in the museum. Exhibitions are frequently organized in 6 great expositions of the museum.
