Binagadi-Novkhani-Corat road was built along the shore in the northern part of the Absheron peninsula in accordance with the “State Program on the sociol-economic development of Baku and its settlements in 2014-2016”, approved by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The length of the road is 13.5 kilometers. According to the project, the width of the moving part of the two-lane road is 9 meters. In some areas along the coast, the width of the existing road has been expanded. The width of the road, passing through Novkhani and Pirshaghi settlements, was increased from 3-4 meters to 9 meters. In some areas the road has been completely built on a new bed. New pedestrian pavements have also been built along the way to ensure the comfort and safety of the citizens. The construction of such a highway is primarily of a high level of transport movement, prevention of traffic jams, and solution of social issues of the settlements and villages in Baku. The implementation of project is also important to reach the capital's seaside tourism destinations more quickly and comfortably and to support the development of the tourism sector.
In particular, at the initiative of Executive Power of Binagadi District was carried out 160 m2 painting works, 1050 m2 of decorative plaster, 256 meters long, 2.5 meters in length of wire mesh material and repair of civil damages.
At the same time works have been done to improve the roadside and dams were planted with different types of decorative flowers.
